The Metamorphosis – Book Review

Metamorphosis_Franz_Kafka
4.6/5

This is a strange book. Book that hooks you from 1st paragraph onwards. I read this when I was young. I could not understand the hidden message in it.

Here is what I think of it when I reread it. This book is about someone who is terminal, suddenly immobile and progressively deteriorating. It speaks of other family members like Father, Mother and Daughter who take charge of situation.

The core themes in the book are alienation and abandonment. Rather than identifying a protagonist and anti-hero; one should focus on the key messages. The good in the bad.

It illustrates a wide spectrum of human behaviour in the book. This book has a lot to teach if one is a keen reader.
