Some e-learnings trends of 2020 and 2021

Both the 2020 and 2021 years are important in terms of e-learning. In 2020, the pandemic changed the priorities for e-learning forever.

The things which were usually done in the offline mode are being done online or in pipeline. This blog is about the major e-learning trends of the year 2020 that have monopolized widely over the learners and the trends that will hog the limelight in the year 2021.

Major e-learning trends of 2020.

Because of COVID-19, many things have changed. Amongst them was the closure of the schools and colleges and other educational institutions. And because of that, e-learning is getting more and more important. Though in the past years its graph was flourishing, this year it has shot up.

Some new studies predict that the e-learning platform will have maximum growth and opportunity for the workers. Many of the businesses have shut and people are unemployed. Investing in an e-learning platform is quite profitable. People will get a lot of opportunities if they wish to expand their e-learning platform.

Listed below are some top trends in e-learning for the year 2020. They are:

  • Mobile learning is a new learning

M-learning or mobile learning is being one of the easiest and smartest ways of learning. In this, the learner uses his/her smartphones to access all the educational values, whether it is about attending the online classes or submitting the assignment, or finding any of the learning material online.

You can easily find everything with just a click. It has gained a lot of popularity in the year 2020. Almost all the students have successfully enrolled in this type of learning and are also enjoying this way of studying. The demand for the e-learning platform has increased, so we should design it according to the needs of the students.

Courses built should meet all the learner. E-learning platform should be compatible with the mobile so that no learner is unsatisfied with the type of device used. The user experience is very important, as no learner would like to return to a platform that has a bad user interface.

  • Many of the learners went with Micro-learning

Micro-learning as the name suggests it is a smaller learning unit. It is very much related to the e-learning field only. These are the learning in which the Learner enrolls in a short duration course online. They are used by those learners who wish to train them in a particular field or skill. This type of learning is less timeconsuming, speedy, and engaging. From the platform developer’s perspective, the cost is also less than compared to other ways.

  • Personalized learning

This is one of those trends which came to light after the usage by millennials. But soon it is being used by everyone. Many of the workplaces and organizations are providing the users with personalized lessons. It includes things like mobile-friendly content, micro-learning, and other lessons that may help them develop and learn as many skills as possible.

  • Processes involving data

Data is present everywhere. It holds a lot of power in the business and any of the organizations. Data plays a vital role, as the developer uses it to interpret things and save them securely for future use. A developer must wisely use the data to interpret things so that the decisions taken by him may not disappoint the user’s expectations

Major e-learning trends of 2021

These trends are of course predicted so that it may help you cope up with the coming year. We know this that the e-learning platform will continue to expand in the next coming years. So for the developer is very much that they stay up to date with all the major changes.

Listed below are some predictions of the top e-learning trends for the year 2021. They are:

  • The usage of the learning experience platform

The usage of the learning experience platform will increase.

This is because the developers will prefer a self-directed principle for their firm. We do this to follow up with the upcoming standards of the business. Some companies have also implemented this in their business. We may consider it as the future of all the systems.

  • Data Analytics will be all over

E-learning platforms can use data analytics to know every individual’s needs. In this way, the developer can have all the related information of the learner and can use it to improve or implement new things.

  • Artificial Intelligence is the future.

Artificial intelligence is used everywhere. It reduces the manual work of the people and is less time-consuming. It is very beneficial in the e-learning platform. Artificial intelligence lets the learner coordinate anytime with the teacher. It also enhances the quality of education with instant solutions to the problems.

  • Better learning experience

In this the learners will get to experience Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Mixed Reality (MR). This will trend a lot in the year 2021, as it is quite beneficial for the students studying on the e-learning platform. It will help the students to perform much better and can give to their fullest.

Conclusion

We all know that things change as time passes. It depends on the developer and the designer to stay up to date to meet all the expectations of the users. Trends could be constantly changing focus on the development of your platform.
