Strengths Finder 2.0- Book Review

cv-1
4.6/5

If you are searching for a job at the executive level, this needs to be step 1. It’s the proverbial answer to “Know Thyself”. I really liked this thought of the book which says “from the cradle to the cubicle, we devote more time to fixing our shortcomings than to developing our strengths”. We give less importance to things we already have and just run for acquiring some other capabilities.

Strengths Finder 2.0 is written 2.0, disclosing the new and modified version of tactics for applying your strengths. The book has the power to change the perception of looking into life’s problems.

The book can be a guiding hand for youngsters to discover their personal strengths so that they could use that knowledge while making choices about both their future education and professions.

The best thing or the attractive part of the book is that it includes an online assignment or test for finding out the top 5 strengths in yourself. Make sure you buy the latest version of the book to avail this assignment.

I like the author’s approach of focussing on the discovery of strengths rather than giving attention to weaknesses. It provides specific suggestions for each strength. It is interesting and fun to find out the strengths by answering the 30 minutes online questionnaire.

The book describes 34 themes or areas of strength that the author has recognized after looking at millions of characterizations. All the themes are well explained and depict an important thought which will make you feel touched.

The book is clearly a precious piece of finding the inner strength in oneself. It’s a quick and easy to be read book and I definitely recommend all of you to read it.
