Luckily I read this book in 2008 – Just before my marriage. I exactly don’t remember how I reached this book. But ended up buying it and reading it cover to cover.
It focuses a lot on problems solving and marital relationships.
Book starts with – “Life is difficult. This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths. It is a great truth because once we truly see this truth, we transcend it. Once we truly know that life is difficult – once we truly understand and accept it – then life is no longer difficult. Because once it is accepted, that life is difficult no longer matters.”
It reveals the secrets to meaningful and lasting relationships. My personal favourite is chapter #4 on ‘grace’. It explains that grace is “the powerful force originating outside of human consciousness which nurtures the spiritual growth of human beings”. The core ideas presented have an uncanny resemblance to Hindu and Buddhist philosophies.
For me – this is/ was a life altering book.
